FIRST TIME REGISTRANTS ONLY-REGISTRATION FAQ'S

If you are registering for Elite (quad) conditioning camp or tryouts for the first time, your child's hockey profile must be shared with your quadrant association before you will be able to register for camps or tryouts. In order to be eligible to register, if you live in CBHA boundaries, please email the CBHA registrar at lori.mcd@outlook.com the following information after May 1st

  • Player Full Name
  • Player Date of Birth
  • Player Hockey Canada ID

**This process is for first-time registrants only, those who have previously registered with the CBHA will remain shared and can register as usual. All players should also register with their community hockey association to ensure you have a place to play if you are not successful in making a CBHA team. Check your community hockey association website for thier registration information.**

  • June 15th -July 15th -  tryout fees $295
  • July 16th -Aug 16th - late tryout fee $370

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 8:00 AM JUNE 15TH. REG CLOSES AUG. 16TH

Registering with your community hockey association, and indicating you are trying out with the CBHA, DOES NOT mean you are registered for tryouts with the CBHA. 


TEAM FEES

IT IS A REQUIREMENT THAT YOU COMPLETE THE PAYMENT PROCESS NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 1ST.

NOTE: Hockey Alberta requires re-certification of the Respect in Sport ("RIS") parent program every four years.  If your certification has expired you need to re-certify. Players will not be placed on rosters without a valid RIS certification. Check your RIS HERE to see if you need to re-certify.

Once teams are finalized log in to complete the registration and payment process. The system is set up to accept payment by credit card only. Payment can be made in one lump sum or 3 installments. If you want to pay by installments click the Pay by Installment button on the check out page.


If you are not able to pay by credit card please complete the online registration process up to the Check Out page and then contact Lori at lori.mcd@outlook.com to arrange payment by e-transfer or money order.

Financial Assistance

There are many ways that our families can apply for financial assistance.

Flames Even Strength Program (FESP)

Families complete an online form which is submitted directly to Hockey Calgary..  You access the form for the program on the Hockey Calgary website at: https://www.hockeycalgary.ca/registration/flames-even-strength-program

Hockey Canada Assist Fund

The Hockey Canada Foundation has launched its new Assist Fund to provide registration fee subsidies of $500.00 for qualified players with Hockey Canada sanctioned associations. For more information about the Hockey Canada Assist Fund, or to apply or donate, visit HockeyCanada.ca/AssistFund.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program 

Jumpstart Charities helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities.  You may access the form for the program at https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/about

CBHA Financial assistance is available to families who qualify for assistance through the Flames Even Strength/Kidsport (FESP) program. Parents are required to submit an application directly to FESP, and if approved, contact the CBHA VP Finance who will advise next steps.
